The story starts in San Francisco’s Sunset District back in 2002. It was a small setup—just a few of us with buckets, rubber bands, and endless ideas. We learned to tie and dye by hand, experimenting with patterns and colors in a basement studio. We mostly worked in bulk, creating custom blanks for bands, events, and local brands. For example, we’d dye a batch of shorts and leave a clean space where buyers could later add their own graphics. It was DIY, it was collaborative, and it was a lot of fun.
Technique evolved. Better dyes, premium cotton, and bolder patterns became the new standard. What began as a side hustle transformed into a creative process rooted in patience, experimentation, and hands-on detail. The move to New Jersey brought new energy but kept the original vibe alive—small batches, slow methods, and a love for making something truly personal.
Every piece comes to life in Hillsborough, New Jersey—tied, dyed, and finished by hand. Patterns shift with each batch, colors blend in unexpected ways, and no two shirts ever turn out the same. From classic swirls to custom collabs, each item tells its own story. Nothing mass-produced. Just bold, wearable color made to stand out.
